Makes:15 rolls / Prep time: 20 minutes / Frying time: 15 minutes



For filling:

3 boiled Potatoes, mashed

1/2  tin canned tuna, water or oil drained

3 tbs. oil

1/2 tsp Mustard

1/2 tsp Cumin

6 Curry leaves

1 Onion medium , sliced

2 Tomato, chopped

1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder

1 tsp. Red chilly pwder

1/2 tsp. Pepper pwder

2 tsp. tomato paste

Salt to taste

1/3 cup water


15 Bread slices, side crust removed

5 eggs, beaten

11/2 cup bread crumbs

Vegetable oil


1_Heat a non-stick pan with oil. Add mustard, cumin, and curry leaves. Wait to splutter.

2_Add sliced onions and saute till they turn into light brown. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and juicy. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, pepper powder, tomato paste and salt. Mix well, add water and allow to simmer.

3_Once the mixture attains thick gravy consistency, add mashed potatoes and tuna. Mix gently and cook on low flame for 2to 3 mins. Set aside.

4_ Roll all the bread sliced to make it flat. Add spoon full of filling in middle of each bread slice. Apply water on sides, fold covering the filling and press sides to seal. When all the filling is filled, dip each roll in eggs and in bread crumbs.

5_Heat oil until very hot and Fry both sides to golden brown. Serve hot.
