Ingredients
115 grams unsalted butter, room temperature
11/3 cup sugar (grinded)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips
4 different food coloring
Instructions
1_Preheat the oven to 160°C. Line a big baking tray with parchment or baking paper and set aside.
2_In a bowl mix the butter and sugar for 2 minutes on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add in the egg, vanilla, salt, and baking soda and continue mixing for 1 minute until smooth, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
3_Turn the mixer to low and add in the flour, mixing until just incorporated.
4_Divide the cookie dough into 4 equal portions. Using the food coloring, color the doughs as desired.
5_After coloring each dough add 1/3 cup or more chocolate chips and mix evenly,
6_Roll each colored dough into a rope. Place each colored rope next to each other.
7_using a knife or a pastry smoother cut the placed doughs ½ inch thick vertically and roll the dough into a loose ball and place it onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the edges are set. Don’t over bake these!!
8_Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 3-4 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Note: When the cookies are baked it will be very soft to the touch, it will become firm when it cools down.
