Makes: 2 to 3 Submarines / Prep time: 15 minutes / Marinate time: 1 hour / Cooking time: 20 minutes



To marinate chicken

2 Chicken breast fillets

1 tbsp. Chili Powder

1 tbsp. Chili flakes

½ tsp. dried Oregano Leaves

1 tbsp. ground Red Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp. Garlic powder

3/4 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Cumin powder

1 tsp. Coriander powder

1/2 tsp. Pepper powder

3 tbsp. plain yogurt

To make submarine

1 cup submarine sauce

1 tomato sliced

Lettuce leaves

Sliced cheese

4 tbsp. Sunflower oil


1_ Add all marinate ingredients other than chicken into a bowl and mix well, add chicken, rub marinate on chicken and leave to marinate 1 hour.

2_Heat oil in a pan, add chicken. Fry both sides on medium heat 20 to 25 minutes. Cut the fried chicken breasts into bite size pieces.

3_Add half cup submarine cream into chicken and mix, Set aside.

To assemble:

4_ Cut Submarine buns length wise, apply generous amount of submarine cream on the bottom side of submarine buns.

5_ Divide the chicken mixture on the bottom half of submarine buns, arrange some tomato slices, lettuce leaves and slice cheese. Cover with the top half of submarine buns. Serve right away or bake submarine sandwiches for 10 minutes before serving.
