Makes 5 to 6 pastries from each kind / Time to prepare: 3 to 4 hours

Ingredients

For the Dough

750 grams flour

5 teaspoon instant yeast

60 grams sugar

40 grams milk powder

75 grams unsalted butter

1 teaspoon salt

490 grams warm water

Instructions

1-Add all the ingredients other then butter into a bowl, mix and form a ball. Transfer dough onto a working area (on your kitchen counter or on a pastry mat).

2-Knead dough for 10 minutes then add the butter and knead for another 20 minutes.

3-If you are kneading the dough using a machine knead for 15 minutes.

4-After finish kneading gather dough into a ball. Lightly oil a big bowl, transfer the dough into the bowl.

5-Cover the bowl with kitchen towel or some plastic wrap and let it sit for one hour or until the dough doubles in size.

6-After one hour remove dough from the bowl. Punch and release all the air from the dough and divide the dough into five equal pieces, and make the pastries as shown in the video.

To make half moon bun

Submarine mayonnaise

For chocolate bun

Your choice of chocolate cut into 2inch by 1cm

 

For mini submarine bun

250 grams chicken, cut into small pieces

2 teaspoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper powder

1 small onion chopped

2 teaspoon garlic chopped or paste

3 tablespoon submarine mayonnaise

3 drops of Tabasco sauce or giteyomirus sauce

2 tablespoon sunflower oil

How to prepare chicken filling

1-Add soy sauce, pepper powder and salt into the chicken mix, set aside

2-Heat oil in a small sauce pan add onion and garlic, fry until soft. Add chicken and cook until chicken dries up. Cool chicken completely.

3-Transfer the chicken into bowl, add submarine mayonnaise and tabasco sauce. Mix and fill all the mini submarine buns.

 

For shawarma bun

2 boiled eggs, grated

1 small onion chopped

1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper

1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper

2 teaspoon chilly flakes

1/2 can of dish drained and fluffed

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoon mayonnaise

3 drops of tabasco sauce or giteyo mirus sauce

How to prepare filling

1-Heat oil in a small saucepan add onion saute for one minute, then add two color bell pepper, sauce until bell pepper gets soft.

2-Add chilly flakes and salt. Mix to combine everything. Take mixture from stove and cool completely.

3-Add bell pepper mixture, mayonnaise, tabasco sauce and tuna into the grated eggs, mix well and add to shawarma buns.
